Ask the doctor: Is it okay to eat leafy greens while taking warfarin?

Abundant in leafy greens and other vegetables, vitamin K interacts with warfarin, a commonly used blood thinner. People who take the drug don’t need to avoid vitamin K­–rich foods, but they should try to eat about the same amount from day to day.
