Thank you so much for writing this article Dr. Schmerling! I have suffered from this phobia since I was 4 years old and am now 58. Years of intense suffering and fear, panic and fainting many times had me so fearful. My Father, Niece and Nephew have all suffered the fear of the Stick. I finally got over the terrible fear. I don’t know if it is age or having a few surgeries but somehow my fear has lessened immensely.
Thank you again!!
