After a long break from medical appointments, these are the experts to see and screenings you may need.
If you’ve skipped doctor visits or health screenings due to the pandemic, it may be time to start catching up — and the sooner you make an appointment, the better. "We’ve been overwhelmed with people who want to come back, and we’re booking six months out," says Dr. Suzanne Salamon, associate chief of gerontology at Harvard-affiliated Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center.
Need to see your doctor before the first available appointment? It may be possible to get a telehealth visit via video or phone call. Or you can ask to be placed on a waiting list for an in-person appointment, in case a cancellation opens a spot.
