Why is it called Coronavirus? I googled it when my son asked, but only got a description of the naming COVID19

Coronaviruses are a group of viruses that were named because of the crown-like structure of the virus. The coronaviruses in humans can cause respiratory illnesses, and the illness in the news currently is Coronavirus Disease 2019 or COVID-19 (please see this reference for more information: https://medlineplus.gov/coronavirusinfections.html).
