Dr. Gerald Lawrence Weinhouse is the clinical director of ambulatory services for Mass General Brigham's division of pulmonary and critical care, and the medical director of the respiratory care services department at Brigham and Women's Hospital and the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute.
He received his medical degree from the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey (now part of Rutgers Biomedical and Health Sciences). He then completed a residency in internal medicine at Boston City Hospital (now Boston Medical Center), followed by a pulmonary and critical care fellowship at University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine (now the Perelman School of Medicine). He is board certified in pulmonary medicine, critical care medicine, and sleep medicine.
Dr. Weinhouse has clinical expertise in the pulmonary complications of cancer treatment. His research interest is in the role of sleep in the recovery of intensive care unit patients. Dr. Weinhouse has been listed as one of the region’s top doctors by Castle Connolly.
