Thanks for the article. Honestly, i run a lifestyle blog but this particular post is enlightening.
Due to the kind of blog i run, i hardly have time for exercises, though i don’t smoke and i have pretty good diet.
Am gonna make out time for exercise.
And avoid use of pesticides, that includes use of herbicides/pesticides by landscapers, having your watershed aerially sprayed with herbicides by private timber owners, etc. Also avoid plastics that might contain phthalates (an even greater health risk for children). Avoid eating fish from rivers w/pulp & paper mills upstream (dioxins).
Never understood why avoidance of pesticides & herbicides isn’t listed as part of a healthy lifestyle, when so many of them pose a variety of risks.
Living away from busy streets, highways, is a good idea too, decreases exposure to airborne pollutants, as does not living under a flight path or near an airport. Many small fixed wing aircraft still use avgas, or leaded fuel, who needs additional exposure to lead? Commercial jets provide air pollution plus noise pollution (another form of air pollution), ditto for helicopters, ultralites, drones, etc.
An increasing amount of research (often done in other nations, apparently US funding sources aren’t interested in funding the research) regarding the negative cardiovascular effects of noise.
