Dr. Markos Kalligeros is a gastroenterology fellow at Harvard-affiliated Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center (BIDMC). His research interests include MASLD/MASH, cardiometabolic risk factors in chronic liver disease, advanced fibrosis and cirrhosis, noninvasive fibrosis assessment, and prevention of hepatic decompensation and liver-related mortality.
He received his medical degree from the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens, Greece. He served as resident and chief resident in internal medicine at Brown University, followed by a fellowship in gastroenterology and hepatology at BIDMC.
