What would cause my tongue to suddenly swell? Could this be a possible side effect of medication, or something else?Anaphylaxis, a severe allergic reaction, can also cause tongue swelling. There are often other symptoms like trouble breathing or feeling faint that require urgent medical attention. A bee sting, food allergy, or medication reaction are common causes.
