I’m amazed, I have to admit. Rarely do I come across a blog that’s both equally educative and entertaining, and without a doubt, you have hit the nail on the head. The problem is something which not enough people are speaking intelligently about. I’m very happy I came across this in my hunt for something concerning this.

I remember getting a pair of insoles by Dr. Scholls from Walmart and trying out their sole evaluation machine after buying a new pair of boots. The recommended insole from the machine made the boots comfortable to step in but since I have thin feet and the boots were a little loose, even though they were my size, walking became a bit of a pain if it was prolonged, specially if I had to raise my foot high when walking out during winter.

My friend recommended SmartSole Insoles to me. They’re only $20 on Amazon. I’m so glad that I bought them. They are so worth the money. They’re even better than my $500+ custom orthotics from my podiatrist!

I love them because they prevent me from having foot and leg pain at the end of the day.

I have unusually high arches and my feet slightly turn when I stand, walk or run. Without any inserts or orthotics, if I stand or walk for too long, my heels and arches are so painful and it causes my thigh muscles to ache all night and I can’t sleep. My orthotics lessened this quite a bit but they don’t fit in most shoes because they’re too bulky.

With these, I can walk or stand all day and my feet are in next to no pain at the end of the day. Now, I prefer wearing these instead of my orthotics. I’ve had these for 6 months now and use them nearly every day and they’re still holding up.

That is an insightful yet disappointing set of results. Insoles are an obvious path of investigation for a lot of people suffering from this, but it sounds like very few will get any meaningful results.

Is MBT one type of those shoes mentioned above? Also, please explain what was meant in : “ones that mimic the natural movement of walking barefoot”. Thank you.
