Bruce M. Cohen, MD, PhD, is the Robertson-Steele Professor of Psychiatry at Harvard Medical School and director of the Program for Neuropsychiatric Research at McLean Hospital in Belmont, MA. He leads a group of investigators and clinicians seeking evidence from clinical, laboratory, and brain imaging studies to define mechanisms underlying mental health and illness and develop new treatments for psychiatric disorders. Dr. Cohen is the author of over 300 manuscripts of original research, and co-author of Living with Someone Who Has Bipolar Disorder: A Practical Guide for Family, Friends, and Co-Workers, which was written for a general audience.
