Mental Health Parity
Welcome to the mental health parity resource page, a service to readers provided by the Harvard Mental Health Letter. The Paul Wellstone and Pete Domenici Mental Health Parity and Addiction Equity Act, which starts taking effect in 2010, is expected to create significant (and improved) coverage of psychiatric and addiction disorders.
We'll post information about the new law on this page and update it periodically to keep you informed.
If you have questions or concerns about how the new law is being implemented, email us and we'll see if we can find answers—which we will post online. Contact mental_letter@hms.harvard.edu and write "Parity" in the subject line.
