Dr. Matthew Gardiner is an ophthalmologist at Harvard-affiliated Massachusetts Eye & Ear in Boston. He is also the hospital’s associate chief for clinical affairs and the director of the ophthalmology emergency, consult, and hospitalist services. Dr. Gardiner is an associate professor at Harvard Medical School, where he actively teaches at the medical student and graduate medical education levels. He attended the University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine and went on there to complete residencies in both internal medicine and ophthalmology.
