How to avoid overload and burnout

We often hear in the media about how important it is for all of us to slow the pace at which we live our lives and be more deliberate about how we spend our time. As I write this, there is an article in The New York Times titled "Why you hate work: Excessive demands are leading to burnout everywhere."
