Older women spend two-thirds of their day sitting, according to a 2013 study published in the Journal of the American Medical Association. Too much sedentary time has been linked to obesity, a decline in physical function, and a shorter lifespan. If you aren't active enough, schedule breaks during the day to get up and walk around.
