Every time you make heart-healthy decisions about diet and exercise, you're also boosting your prostate health. Recent research suggests that managing the risk factors for heart disease also may lower your risk of prostate cancer.
One study, published in the journal Cancer Epidemiology, Biomarkers & Prevention, found that coronary artery disease may be a significant risk factor for prostate cancer, and that managing key cardiovascular risk factors may also lower your odds of developing prostate problems. Two other recent studies also link cardiovascular risk factors to prostate cancer risks.
