This week's issue of HEALTHbeat addresses the "dangers
of microwaving food in plastic," a worrisome
health rumor that gained extra life because it
was circulated and forwarded via email. Alarming
or disturbing email warnings, health-related
or otherwise, are tempting to pass along. The
message may be something that has concerned you
in the past and often your first instinct is
